Meditation gets rid of the negative effects of stress so you’re less likely to stress-eat.  

Plus too much stress makes us gain weight because it upsets our hormonal balance, and our adrenal glands release too much cortisol. That causes weight gain.

  1. Reducing chronic stress and conquering stress eating is definitely essential to losing weight and keeping it off for good. Many people don’t make that connection between stress and weight gain. They try diet after diet, but never deal with the underlying stressors in their life. Great that you highlight stress management as part of a successful weight loss strategy.
